We are Shane and Susan Shumake, owners of Silverleaf Construction & Design. We were hired to build this coffee shop for a client in January, 2010.  After it was built, it opened (under a different name) and closed 5 weeks later due to unforeseen circumstances. Because we had built it “with our hearts in it” we already loved it. When you create something from nothing and labor over every detail, it can’t help but become an extension of yourself.

During the building process, we also built a relationship with our client, and as he was ready to step away from the business, we were asked if we wanted to step in. We knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. After a crazy month, we reopened as Lone Star Coffee Bar.  With the continued help of our family and lots of people who believed in us, the coffee shop, and its potential, we have created this great new place.

We love Lone Star and we believe it is our opportunity to provide for our family and to meet the needs of our community. We want to be your BEST coffee experience, your BEST music experience, your BEST end-of-the-day moment. We want to be the place where people meet…to do business, to eat great food, to enjoy a nice glass of wine or beer with friends, while listening to great new “live” music. We want to be the place you want to be!
